This area with almost 60.000 hectares can only be access by sea or by foot, through a coastal path of 52 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The wealth of the natural environment contrasts with lack of opportunities and isolation of the communities. Insecure land tenure, lack of services and precarious infrastructure, have been the major constraints for the communities to achieve their development needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Coastal forests, secluded beaches, clear rivers and unpolluted marine ecosystems, can be found in this area which makes it to be recognized as a priority site for conservation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mapu\u00a0Lahual\u00a0est\u00e1 formado por\u00a0una red de nueve\u00a0comunidades\u00a0huilliche\u00a0en el\u00a0borde costero de la\u00a0sur de Chile.
